Blackle

Like our black website? So does the environment. It was inspired by Blackle, a website created by Heap Media to remind us all of the need to take small steps in our everyday lives to save energy. Blackle searches are powered by Google Custom Search and save energy because the screen is predominantly black.

When you compare that with the mere 18,000 Kilowatt-hours the average two-story, three-bedroom home uses over that same time period, the concept starts to become very interesting. Over the past few years there has been a push to save energy in anyway possible. We here at Metal Logos And More believe there is great value in this concept, because even if the energy savings from visitors to our website are small, in the end they all add up.
